Project Succeed
Project Succeed is an intensive English as a Second Language program presented in a workforce preparation context. An 18-hour-a-week program, Project Succeed includes eight hours of employment-based English as a Second Language and eight hours of computer lab weekly. The curriculum in the lab includes Keyboarding, Windows XP, Word 2003, Teknimedia(a computer skill building program), the Internet and ELLIS (English Language Learning and Instruction System). On Fridays, the students are involved in a two-hour exploration of local educational and employment opportunities. Guest speakers are an integral part of the program. Students are selected through testing and interviews.
